I firmly believe that photographs are some of the most important things we have, next to the people in them.
They are portals in time and space that spill you out into a day when your grandpa still napped in his favorite recliner. When you played night games barefoot until your mom called you in for dinner. They conjure up the smell of Old Spice and tic tacs that clung to your dad.
They hold space for love lost and people deeply missed. They are incontrovertible evidence that we lived and loved.

Growing up in Utah, I spent a lot of time in the mountains. From a young age, I loved camping, hiking, rock climbing, and really anything that allowed me to spend time out outdoors. In addition to my love of nature, I also loved painting, drawing, writing, and everything creative. After marrying my high school sweetheart (well, elementary school sweetheart if we're honest), and working with an amazing wedding photographer, I became interested in the idea of pursuing photography.
Because camera gear is so expensive (and because I'm a bit ADHD and get hyper-fixated on new hobbies for a week before deserting them forever), I decided to wait a few months to see if the interest stuck. A few months later at my sister's wedding, I was still interested. I talked with her wedding photographer about getting into photography and she let me borrow her backup camera ( which she just so happened to be selling) for the night and stand in as a backup photographer. While I'm certain none of those photos turned out, I fell completely in love with photography.
The next day, I bought her camera and never looked back. Since then, my love for photography has only grown as I've been able to combine it with my love of nature and creating. Now with a new (and much more expensive) camera around my neck, I've been able to travel the world capturing love in the mountains I still love so much. I couldn't imagine a more perfect "job" for me and can't wait to use my passion to tell your unique story.
