Garden Wedding at La Caille Utah

By: tiana J photography

Becca and Kyle’s wedding at La Caille felt like the perfect summer garden party—romantic, elegant, and full of thoughtful details. While there are so many beautiful places to celebrate a wedding at La Caille, one of my favorite things about their day was how they used the space surrounding the Chateau.

They held both their ceremony and dinner outside the Chateau, an area of La Caille that I think is incredibly beautiful and surprisingly underused for weddings. With the Chateau as the backdrop, gardens surrounding the space, and summer light filtering through the property, it created such a romantic setting for the entire celebration. I have a feeling we’re going to see more couples choosing this part of La Caille for their ceremonies in the future.

Getting Ready at the Chateau

This La Caille Utah wedding day began inside the Chateau, where Becca got ready with her closest friends and family. The girls wore matching pajamas while everyone spent the morning together before Becca changed into her wedding dress.

Her mom and sister helped her into her dress and veil, which made for some of my favorite quiet moments from the morning.

The Chateau is also such a beautiful place for wedding details. Between the European-inspired architecture, antique textures, windows, and soft natural light, there are seemingly endless little corners to photograph in. I loved being able to incorporate the character of La Caille into Becca’s detail photographs rather than photographing everything against a simple backdrop.

A First Look Beneath the Willow Tree

Before the ceremony, Becca and Kyle shared a first look near the pond beneath one of La Caille’s willow trees.

Kyle was so excited to finally see Becca, and it gave the two of them a few quiet minutes together before the rest of the celebration began.

From there, we made our way back toward the Chateau for their ceremony.

An Outdoor Ceremony in Front of the Chateau

Rather than using one of La Caille’s more traditional ceremony locations, Becca and Kyle held their ceremony directly in front of the Chateau.

Details by Laura Lee planned the celebration and designed the florals, including large floral installations that framed the ceremony space against the Chateau. The combination of the architecture, gardens, and florals transformed the area into an incredibly romantic outdoor ceremony setting.

The ceremony itself was just as beautiful. Looking around, it seemed like nearly every guest was crying at some point. It was emotional and intimate while still feeling elevated and celebratory.

For couples considering a La Caille wedding, I think the Chateau is one of the property’s most exciting ceremony possibilities. It photographs beautifully and gives you a backdrop that feels completely distinctive to a La Caille Utah wedding.

Cocktail Hour Inside the Chateau

After the ceremony, guests moved inside the Chateau for cocktail hour.

Drinks were served while everyone mingled, laughed, and celebrated with Becca and Kyle. Moving cocktail hour indoors also created a natural transition while the outdoor space was prepared for dinner.

It was such a fun portion of the day to photograph—the kind of candid, energetic part of a wedding where everyone has settled in and the celebration really starts to come alive.

A Summer Garden Party Dinner

Dinner outside the Chateau may have been my favorite setting of the entire wedding.

Details by Laura Lee brought the design together beautifully, and the pieces from Indigo Rentals complemented the setting perfectly. Round tables, florals, linens, and layered details filled the space in front of the Chateau and made the entire dinner feel like an elegant summer garden party.

One of the reasons I loved this layout so much was how naturally the day flowed. Guests could enjoy dinner outside surrounded by the gardens before the evening gradually transitioned into speeches and toasts.

There was no need for the celebration to feel overly structured. It simply moved from one part of the evening into the next.

Popcorn, Cocktails, and an After Party

As dinner came to an end, the celebration transitioned into an after party with a popcorn stand and cocktail bar.

These were such fun details—not only for guests, but for photographs. By this point in the evening everyone was relaxed, drinks were flowing, and there were so many candid moments happening everywhere I looked.

Eventually everyone moved into La Caille’s glass house for dancing.

It was my first time photographing a reception in this part of the property, and I loved getting to experience another completely different side of the venue. After such a romantic outdoor dinner, ending the night dancing inside the glass house felt like the perfect change of energy.

Planning a Wedding at La Caille Utah

Becca and Kyle’s wedding is such a beautiful example of how many possibilities there are when planning a La Caille Utah wedding. The property is known for its gardens and European-inspired architecture, but I especially love seeing couples use its spaces in ways that feel a little unexpected. Their decision to hold the ceremony and dinner outside the Chateau completely transformed the flow and atmosphere of the day.

It felt intimate and elegant without being overly formal—the kind of summer wedding where guests could linger over dinner outside, laugh through the toasts, grab a cocktail and some popcorn, and eventually end the night on the dance floor.

For couples dreaming of a romantic garden wedding at La Caille, I would absolutely consider the area surrounding the Chateau. After photographing Becca and Kyle’s celebration there, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this beautiful part of the property become a much more popular choice for La Caille weddings.
